Barcelona endogenous development

I was with my students in ethnographic research field work in the Barcelona commune.

Barcelona is located in the province of Santa Elena in Ecuador.  The map was designed by a student Arelis Romero, using the Argis program. 

The people are very friendly and hard working. In the commune there are four collection centers for Toqulla straw. It is a place where families work. 

 The treatment of Toquilla straw is a process, cut, cooked and packed for sale. We did surveys, we took photos, a video was made. 

We made a video of the work carried out by the families in the Barcelona commune. 

We came back home.  Good Job.
