Barcelona endogenous development

I was with my students in ethnographic research field work in the Barcelona commune.

Barcelona is located in the province of Santa Elena in Ecuador. Arelis Romero, a student, designed the map using the Argis program. 

The people are very friendly and hard working. In the commune there are four collection centers for Toqulla straw. It is a place where families work. 

 The treatment of Toquilla straw is a process: it is cut, cooked, and packed for sale. We did surveys, took photos, and made a video. 

We made a video of the work carried out by the families in the Barcelona commune. 

We came back home.  Good Job.
